The Strand is an important and critical art resource in the Black community and must be preserved and resourced to make it the wonderful and multi-use performance space that it could be.

This is honestly an amazing and needed art space for Black and Brown artists in Boston.

The strand theatre must stay a beacon of what makes Boston great, especially because it is underutilized right now a black box is needed for it to continue into the future

The Strand theater is LEGENDARY. This is where I saw The FloorLords for the first time and THAT launched my dance career in 1998. I’m STILL in the Boston dance community, I’ve taught kids at schools and community centers in Boston. I want the Strand to continue And have a smaller more affordable space available to the community.

Keep The Strand in community hands by giving them an affordable theater space within, this Black Box Theater.

The establishments in the urban city should be for the residents of the urban neighborhoods, just like the establishments in the suburban areas are for the residents of the suburbs. The talent is in the CITY! Give them the adequate space and watch the magic happen!

Thank you for being a young person in the city with vision; that puts an actual action behind it!! Entrepreneurs and Artists Think (EAT) together! Blessings, Atoni the Artist 🧑🏾‍🎨

I grew up in the city and laid roots at the Strand, as a child. I completely support and agree with stopping the gentrification process.

I believe people of the community should hold more power of shaping their community than outside investors with no interest in the EXISTING community’s quality of life
