On 11 December 1948 at about 5pm the Second Battalion of the Scot Guards entered the Batang Kali village located in the State of Selangor, Malaysia and killed one Loh Kit Lin.
On 12 December 1948 a group of 23 unarmed male villages were shot dead unlawfully. Thereafter the village was set on fire.
The facts shown:-
i. the British Parliament was misled based on the cover up "official account", something which present-day Ministers have a duty to correct under the Ministerial Code; andii. the families of those wrongfully killed were destroyed, and the survivors have financially and emotionally suffering for the past 64 years until today.
I, being the person who named in this Petition, supports the following causes:-
a. to urge the UK Government to make an official unreserved apology to the victims' families;b. to urge the UK Government to compensate adequately to the victims' families; andc. to fund the construction of a memorial garden in Batang Kali.
