I know you're all here because you saw the title of this petition (I mean, how freaking insane would it be to have her come play in MTL), but I have a small story first about why I want to do this.

Pencils of Promise is the leading educational non-profit, with 100% of the funds raised online providing educational opportunities to children without access to a quality education in the developing world. To date, they have built over 300 schools and provided more than 33 thousand students with the novel chance at an education they only ever could have dreamed of.

What's my dream? To raise $25,000 to build a school in Ghana by my 25th birthday. That gives me just about four and a half years to raise what seems right now as more money than I could ever fathom, yet $25,000 is how much it takes to build a school in Ghana. I have so much hope, though, because in only three days I've already raised $625 purely through donations. My dream is called 25 Before 25.

NOW, to get to the point, over the weekend the One Tree Hill cast visited Palais des Congres and Guest Events held the most amazing, surreal convention ever. As nervous as I was, I got up to the mic and asked Joy if she would ever consider playing a show in Montreal, and she said of course, as long as someone planned it and messaged her about it.

SO.... This is what I'm thinking. If we can get enough signatures on here, I have this crazy feeling that we'll be able to get Joy to come play here at one point within the next year, or even at next year's convention. HOW INSANE WOULD THAT BE?! A benefit concert benefitting Pencils of Promise (who, by the way, have Sophia Bush as an ambassador so we'd be supporting her cause as well), WITH JOY AS THE SPECIAL GUEST. I know I would die. And I'm hoping that enough of you would as well, so that we can actually make this happen.
