Thank you Jonathan Your reply and support gives me encouragement I was made to understand that the recent meeting with the management didn't went well. This only show that for as long as we are not united we could never be taken seriously. One of the option is to get the petition that is currently been put forward to get full support from most parent Once we know the strength of the petition than we can discuss on the next cause of action Therefore we need to get as many parent to sign the petition as possible So far we only have 160 signatures. Can help me promote to get more parent to sign please ? Let me know your thought on this

While I agree with some of things in this petition, I'm not clear what exactly we are asking of the school. I understand that the school has found out about this petition and have contacted parents who have signed it (and had the guts to put their name by their comments!). Once again the school is pursuing its divide and rule policy and is refusing to meet with all parents together. To those parents who have been contacted by school can I suggest that you reply by: 1) insisting that we want to meet as a group with the school make our concerns heard together. If this is ignored, then go ahead and arrange an individual meeting with Mrs Brock and: 2) arranging an individual meeting and insist on the organisation of a parents forum where we can voice our concerns together. If this all fails, then we need to start organising ourselves in such a manner that we can make coherent demands on the school. Viannie - does this website give you access to everyone's email addresses? If so, perhaps you can send an email around and start organising a meeting of interested parents? For those of you who are not happy with the withdrawal of credit card facilities, I for one will be asking the school for some leniency, given that they have only given us 2 months notice to totally revamp our family budgets in order to pay the fees. I will be asking that we are allowed only this year, to pay the reduced rate annual tuition fee in instalments. This year I have not been impressed by the academic standards and the many inconsistencies of teaching staff amongst many other things. It's frustrating that we are expected to meet Mrs Birchall or Mrs Brock one to one and we parents never get any feedback on our suggestions/ demands. Next year, I will most definitely be looking to move my child to another school, if BSKL does not respond in an appropriate manner.

We left after spending 3 academic years with the school. First reason for leaving was the quality of the so called British syllabus taught and secondly was the increase in fees. We knew another wave was coming so we decided to pack our bags and say goodbye!

The BSKL' fees is even higher than private schools fees in Britain even after the currency exchange taken into account. A study by Lloyds Bank has found that fees for private schools in Britain are now about £12,000 on average nationally. A simple Google search will confirmed that. A petition to Education Ministry of Malaysia should also be created to suggest to them to regulate the fees imposed by the so-called "non-profit" private school here.

Support the petition. Withdrawal of the credit card facility is unreasonable

Dear Parents, Thank you for your vocal support of the issues at hand. Within the same day as circulation of the petition went out, the school attempted to contact me to resolve the issue. However, I have refused to meet with them in the interest of furthering our cause, until they have reached a satisfactory solution. As the posts regarding this petition have been deleted on the Parents’ Portal, it would be appreciated if you would each take the time to forward this link to your friends so that we can obtain a substantial following. In this manner, we can pressure the school into giving us the best possible solution for our concerns. If you would like a copy of the letter that has been sent to Janet Brook (Principal), please send me your email address and I will be happy to forward it to you as well. Should you need to contact me on any matter pertaining to this, my phone number is +60166261778.

The yearly fee at this school is higher than university fees in the UK. How is this possible when the school is located in a low cost country such as Malaysia.?

Lack of communication, frustration with the decisions made by the school ,its a shame with the Premium fees we are paying in exchange of what we and are children are treated.

I have also comment of the desk/chair used at classroom. My girl in year 3B. The desk seems too low for them and they are sloughing most of the time. Also with the construction so near to the shool n bad air quality. I strongly feel that every classroom should have a unit of air purifier. In most of the int school at Beijjng n shanghai where we stayed for the last 10 years they have air purifier installed.

The increase of fee is not following any relevant rate such as inflation. Salaries increase are definitely well below. I understand that new facilities are being build and I'm glad for it. If the difference of fee comes from that reason I don't believe is really fair and it should be reconsidered. Please think about parents having several kids at school.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela How apt a quote by a great statesman. But education is the collective responsibility of various parties, mainly the parents, the students and the educational institutions concerned. In this case, the institution is BSKL. We note with great concern the recent actions (or lack of action) of BSKL which are deemed detrimental to the welfare of both the parents and students. On the part of the parents, it is the ever-increasing school fees which further burden our finances as we have also to cope with the increased cost of living. On the part of the students, are the recent security lapses on the premises of BSKL. I join the other parents in strongly petitioning that BSKL should engage parents in more open dialogues immediately before making decisions that adversely affect parents and students. Education is for the betterment of our young people to prepare them for the future, it is not only about making money. Have a heart BSKL!

The increase in fee should be used for increasing the level of school academics and well being of children, not to collects funds to build the school buildings. The increase in fee is quite sharp and unsustainable for parents leading to students being withdrawn or financial burden for parents.
