Bishop Burbidge, Bring Father Escalante back to Saint Francis de Sales Parish NOW

The family that falsely accused Father and the individual that encouraged them to bring charges (to cover up his misuse of church funds) should both be sued by Father Escalante. This defamation of character is unacceptable, and the Diocese not only should have protected this good priest, but should now do everything it can to restore his good name and position.

If all accounts are true with the recent revelations about the DRE framing Father Escalante. And his criminal actions and theft coverup, you have to bring back Father Escalante. We have been going to this church for over 10 years and have one confirmed child and a second a few years away. I have given a lot of money to the church over the years for good causes that the church does for those in need. I did not donate money to have it stolen and a potentially innocent man framed by a lying deceitful man ( I also heard he has done this type of this before). The Catholic Church has enough issues with its despicable handling of real child molestation charges ( all those priests should have been in jail for life and not protected by the church. I feel those who covered this up are as guilty as those who did the acts. The real crimes against children are the worst and most unforgivable crimes that a human being can commit), they need to keep good priests in the church. If this is all true about the Father and the DRE, and you do nothing about it by bringing back Father and criminally charging Blankenship, we may be done with the faith. As it is, I am not going to be given money to the church, just so it can be stolen and nothing is done about it. THAT IS MY MONEY THAT WAS STOLEN, NOT YOURS. Remember that. Do the right thing or you will see a flood of parishioners leaving that church, and probably the faith as a whole. As it is, I can see how low attendance has been since this all went down. Do the right thing.

Please return our pastor immediately. He has been persecuted long enough. Bring this innocent pastor back to his parish now.

Our parish is sad without Father Escalante. We’ve missed him at Mass every week, and at so many parish events. Please give Father back to us before First Communions!

Dear Bishop Burbidge, You are a really fine man and bishop. We are blessed to have you. Having been rector of a major seminary and a priest for many years, I would think that you have developed The ability to be a good judge of character, especially of men who are priests. Surely you recognize the good character of Fr. Ron Escalante. Please read through all of the comments as I just have that testify and confirm the good character of Fr. Escalante as a man, as a priest, as a Pastor. Unless you have evidence that proves differently please restore Fr. Escalante to active ministry back to the parish that has come to know & love him. I would think this would help heal him and the parish from the injury caused by a false allegation and dragged out investigation. Please accede to the requests of this petition to be transparent and reveal the results of the diocesan investigation, so that the exact charges are known and either confirmed or disproven and the full resources of the Diocese are used to try to restore Fr. Escalante’s reputation. “Justice delayed is justice denied.” Keep in mind the story of Susannah, her prayer of innocence for God’s help and how He used Daniel to expose the evil plot against her by the lustful judges. People do make false allegations for various reasons. I do know of a situation in another parish years ago where the longtime parish secretary HATED the Pastor and would say nasty things behind his back. She spread false rumors that he was having an affair with a single female parishioner. I knew both of them ... it was just a business and friendly relationship. The woman was deeply hurt by this and because the new incoming pastor had his mind poisoned by this secetary taking her view of the parish life as accurate. He didn’t know any better and treated this innocent woman with contempt to where she no longer felt at home in the parish. False accusations can cause deep pain and ruin lives. Father is a pillar of our community. Everyone wants him back to Include my protestant friends. He has brought all her religions together in the name of Christ! Please return Fr. Escalante to his flock at St. Francis de Sales Parish. His faithful parishioners are in need of their good shepherd. May the light of truth bring an end to this darkness and may Fr. Escalante's good name be restored once and for all!

shame! The diocese should be embarrassed on how this was handled. Sex offenders get shuffled around to different churches while you can't stand behind an innocent who's dedicated his life to serving the Lord?! Come on folks, you can do better than this. Criminal charges should be filed against the staff person that misused office funds, slandered Fr. Escalante's name and disrupted our church. Easy decision.

The church has many problems, but Fr. Ron is not one of them. He is a bright light during dark days. His good name must be cleared, and it is the Diocese’s responsibility to make it happen. Please do the right thing.

Those that falsely accused Father Ron should have their names released and should have criminal charges brought upon them. By all means, rid the Church of those that would take advantage of the innocents that Jesus loved so...but please, defend your faithful and innocent priest, Father Ron!
