XXX Birlinn: please re-print "The Lowland Clearances"!

There is a ludicrous emphasis on the Highland Clearaces whilst many people will never have heard of any clearances in the lowlands.

I've got to be honest, I'd never even heard of the Lowland Clearances til I was sent a link to this petition. All the more reason why there should be a book available about it (which I will buy!). Seems like a vitally important part of Scotland's history, and I'd like to read it for myself to see if this indeed the case.

I was astonished, 30 years ago, when I found out how ignored the Lowland Clearances were in Scotland. Still true today.

This is important for our area of Scotland.
