According to the latest census data, London's population has risen by 7% in the past 10 years. Along that, as a major tourist destination, London attracts millions of visitors annually. The influx of tourists adds to the waste generated in public spaces, underscoring the need for more rubbish bins in popular areas.

Moreover, insufficient rubbish bins lead to littering, which not only harms the aesthetic appeal of the city but also poses severe environmental risks. Litter negatively impacts wildlife, water bodies, and overall ecosystem health. Accumulated litter can create breeding grounds for pests and diseases, jeopardising public health and safety. Adequate waste disposal facilities are essential to maintaining a hygienic environment.
