Really need to address this and be pro-active. Rather then have somebody get hurt first then do something..... It's a matter of time and we are pushing it.

speeding, distracted driving (yes, I see the high schoolers texting and driving every day!) and unsafe driving needs to be addressed! It has been overlooked and swept under the rug far too long!

Safety should be the #1 concern. Please take into consideration that everyone should feel Safe at all times. This area in the Heights is way too dangerous! Let's make a positive impact to keep everyone Alive & Safe!

This issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible before a child is hit and injured, or worse yet loses a life. If the school owns the property from Sandstone to castle rock, why not utilize that ground for a one way only drop off?

There needs to be a solution for all the problematic areas of town. Hopefully it will be resolved soon!

Making at least a center turn lane into castle rock would help. Or create a parking/drop off loop on the west(empty field) with a tunnel walk under the street for kids to go back and forth safely

This is a very dangerous intersection that I drive through every weekday morning taking my own children to school. I see many comments referencing 'unlawful' passing on the right. However, I do not believe it is illegal. I may be wrong, and I'm not saying it is correct to do it, but can anyone shed any light on this? I looked it up in the MT Driver Manual and all I can find is "Passing on the right is legal only when the vehicle you’re passing is making or about to make a left turn". To me, this means it is legal what a lot of people (including myself) have done at this intersection. It is still probably not the correct move to perform it, but some people are too scared to ever take that left and that encourages others to pass them on the right.

I fear the leadership in this town is all too reactive when it comes to change. Waiting for an accident or, God forbid, a death in order to enact change is ridiculous and not the kind of leadership I want representing me. There are plenty of smart people out there in the right position with the technology and tools to remedy this and other hazards in the Heights. How about we be proactive when it comes to the safety of kids, crossing guards, and drivers alike!

My children cross there every day and I am concerned for their safety every morning. I have been pleased to see the police there in the mornings monitoring the awful traffic situation. I understand why people pass unlawfully as it is common to wait for at least 3-4 light cycles to get through from governors into hilltop

Drives me crazy that people are so impatient they use the bike lane and curb as a turning lane! Drive safe!

I live in the heights by Constitution and Governor's we need do something about this. It gets back up with traffic, it would be nice to have a left turning lane.

Please fix this intersection!! We have many students that have to cross here and it is not safe. People are not stopping when the light is red and passing on the right side and putting our children at risk. I hope and pray it gets fixed before someone gets hurt.

Thank you everyone that has signed and commented so far. I hope to get 1000 signatures at the very least before bringing this to the attention of the City Council Representative. Thank you and share with as many people as you can!!

They also need a turn light on the gov./wicks intersection that one is also dangerous and gets congested fast

It is almost impossible to get my child to school in the mornings. This intersection needs serious attention. It simply cannot handle the amount of traffic in a timely manner as it is now. A turn lane and green arrow is desperately needed.
