Bill was the KING of KISS back in the day, but he gave strength to so many other bands. He is an icon and should be recognized as such!!!

We would never have heard of a band called KISS if it weren't for Bill Aucoin. To say he should be in the HOF would be a gross understatement.

Kiss made it in against all odds and nay sayers. No band topped them for their stick-to-it-ness. Bill Aucoin was one man who not only believed in their dream, he funded it. Against most better judgment he ran their tour on his credit card! To say that dedication by a manager was unique is an understatement. Every penny they made went back into the show. All he did while allowing KISSto be KISS, was create what is now the standard live performance. You canny see any Country music show without some element KISS pioneered. Even sporting events. Without Bill Aucoin there would've been no KISS. Today were KISS to have started, they'dve packed up after the first lp floundered barely reaching top 100. And no one in the agency has the balls to do what Bill did. Not that his role in KISS isn't enough but he also got Billy Squier out of Piper, and Billy Idol out of Generation X. No one remembers Piper and few know Gen X. To say he could pick a star is an accurate assessment. But as a manager he really supported them like no other. Giving the artists room to express themselves. He was a true gentleman and is missed. As a KISS fan I feel this would be the best musical honor he would've appreciated. Even when KISS knew they'd never be invited, I feel he wished they would get in. He really championed them every chance he got. He was the non makeup face of make up era KISS.

Bill was innovative and a trendsetter as a rock manager, and set the stage for today's high powered management in the style of Brian Epstein.

I worked with Bill to design at least 16 album covers for KISS. I knew him well and he deserves this.
