I had the good fortune to be managed by Bill Aucoin in the 70s. A class act all the way!

BILLY IDOL. STEVE STEVENS. Although Bill Aucoin is mostly recognized for his work launching KISS into global stardom, it can't be emphasized enough: without Aucoin, there would be no Billy Idol. By the end of the 70's, Idol's days in Generation X had also reached their end and Chrysalis was ready to give X the axe. That was until Aucoin plucked Billy out of the group, brought him and his sneer to the U.S., paired Idol with Stevens, brought in Donna Summer musical writer, Keith Forsey, and hatched a plan to promote an artist Chrysalis didn't want on their label (Sound familiar?). Since Chrysalis' promotions department wouldn't give Idol the time of day, Bill used the budget to get DJs to remix the first single and spin it in their clubs. Radio followed. And the rest as they say is history.
“BILL AUCOIN WAS A TRUE MAVERICK, A WILD MAN OF ROCK’N’ROLL. HE WAS A FORCE OF NATURE, AND HE BECAME MY MENTOR.” - Billy Idol, Dancing With Myself
Bill Aucoin's determination to reach global success for his artists against the wishes of their very record companies is in itself deserving of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
So pump your fist and sign the petition to induct Bill Aucoin into the RRHOF. Don't just like this post, take a quick second to join the thousands of others and sign the petition at:

**AND NO NEED TO DONATE AFTER SIGNING PETITION**
Many thanks to Bill Aucoin's nephew and doppelgänger, Mark Britton, and Tom Feeley for making the photo possible.

Met Bill Aucoin when he came to one of our live performances as I was in a Latin Rock Band at the time. Espuelas De Bronce. He saw us in Miami and then in NYC is when he proceeded to give me a big hug. We spent the evening at club SOBs together. Humble man. Don’t have a photo together but warm memories. Also had seen him in the audience watching Billy Idol in NYC few years before. Yes I will sign the petition. ✌️
