Hello Hockey and Ice Lovers,

We are gathering support for an idea brought to our attention by neighbors and friends of Pineview Park to formally name the ice rink the "Bill Bevis Ice Rink". FYI, Bill does not know this effort is in progress...shhhh.

We are presenting the Park Board with the idea to name the ice rink in Pineview Park the “Bill Bevis Ice Rink” to honor Bill Bevis’ 46 year dedication to the improvement and maintenance of the rink for the enjoyment of all Missoulians. Over the last 46 years, Bill Bevis has been a leader in refining the quality of ice and cultivating a rich spirit of community and volunteerism at Pineview Park. In the 1970’s, there was little to no public ice skating in Missoula. It was Bill Bevis who worked with Missoula County to establish an ice rink in Pineview Park.

Most visitors to the rink are unaware of Bill Bevis’ devotion or the gift he has given to our community. Let’s change that.
