It's hard to realize, OKC is building this Boulevard without putting bike lanes in. In this age, of more people riding bikes, one would think OKC wants to stay ahead, and do new streets RIGHT!

Bike lanes along the new Oklahoma boulevard would be much appreciated as well and more importantly a safer conditions for bikes and auto traffic.

Within a designated area in downtown you will get a ticket for up to 175.00 for to find on the sidewalk. A cyclist I know had to make payment.
Let's get what we what and not old plans they have around. There are new designs and flow patterns available.
I met with project city planners last week to see why the allotted $ for the NW highway pedestrian/bike path overpass disappeared. Maps over cost on downtown Tilley system.
That cost started at 50 to 60 million and is now being announced at 130 million for completion.
New conceptioal designs will be redone and put in again on the tail of nexts Maps bond cycle. -- low priority unless bike commuters push instead on just promoting that tall people stuff downtown!

Every automotive parking space that we built in this part of the city cost $15,000 plus the opportunity cost to income generating buildings that could have used the space. A bicycle parking space cost $400, and cyclists are more likely to stop and spend their money in the area.
Building the high speed, high volume traffic conduit shown here will cripple the Core to Shore economy before it gets off the ground. Additionally this design undermines our collective investment in the Sissortail Park by walling it off from the Downtown core.

Please add dedicated cycling lanes, and intersections to Oklahoma Boulevard. You will be encouraging a healthier city. Many cyclists already use fringe restaurants close to the trail system but would enjoy being able to visit downtown restaurants, events and businesses.

Please add bike lanes to OKC streets and help to make roadways more accessible for cyclists. These will help to reduce rates of obesity in the state, and will provide a much needed benefit for those considering moving to OKC. We will all benefit in the long run if we take steps to improve our city by providing safe alternatives to automobiles.

Please add bike lanes!! Oklahoma city is making great progress with creating a healthier, cleaner image with all of its bike paths... let not stop ... okc needs more bike lanes!!! Why not?

This seems like a no-brainer. If city leaders see wisdom in expanding trails in many other parts of the city, why wouldn't they include that in something as important as the new Boulevard?

When I visit OKC as a tourist I bring a bicycle so I can enjoy the existing trails and bicycle routes. Please make Oklahoma Blvd safe for all users of this street by referring to the recently released guidelines from NACTO.
