The town council has approved the plan for dedicated bike lanes across Greenwich. Seeing this project move from a simple idea to an official commitment reminds me how much is possible when we push for a safer community together.

Bike lanes are a great idea - especially in school zones where you have many students walking / riding their bicycles to and from school.
This is a great idea. Bike lanes would be a safe alterniative on our neighborhood roads. There are so many distracted drivers on the road!
Love your idea- I think that bike riding will become even more popular as e-bikes grow in popularity among parents and grandparents
It seems that a town as beautiful and affluent as Greenwich would be able to find the funds to create some safe and scenic bike lanes for its residence; especially the young people who could do even more amazing things if they had a way to independently get from point A to point B. I hope this petition will get the support it needs and deserves!
Last year there were so amny bikers and walker who were hit by cars, and some elderly people were even killed. Not all streets have sidewalks, especially mine. Simply making these bike paths would give safe travel for people who want to help the environment by not putting out carbon.
At least add sharrows if you do not have space for add bike lanes.
It's been a long time coming', but with young people like this getting involved it will be hard for the Town not to respond. Well done!

I feel as though we need more bike paths. As you may know, greenwich has some very busy and dangerous roads. If we just take a little time to put in some bike lanes, we will have less accidents involving bikes and cars, but also safer sidewalks where only people on foot will walk, making a safer walk and ride. For those reasons, I urge greenwich to put in more bike lanes.
