Bless your ♡'s I am SO sorry to hear about your Loss! May the good Lord give you strength and faIth and let him carry you through these difficult times. I pray you get as many signatures as you need to push this petition through and come out on top for the justice of your little bOy and God forbid any others.

It is sad that it has taken an innocent young man's death to bring attention to the extreme need for a safe walkway for pedestrians and bikers along Rt. 19. There are sidewalks along Rt. 19 in Hernando County and I have hardly ever seen them used. However, in Homosassa, I have seen so many people walking to work, stores, etc. along a ride with speed limits of 55 and 45 mph. I spoke with a lady who walks to and from work on the stretch of highway and she told me that she had been nearly hit by a car several times. Something needs to be done as soon as possible.!
I strongly support your efforts to have this stretch of highway have a sidewalk/bike path track made for children safety. We lose multiple people a year without the safety features needed to be put in place.

I asked our County leaders and the MPO for this several months ago and was told it would not happen for years.

This would make much more sense than the state building sidewalks along the forest where no one lives! Let's do this for all the folks in that area in honor of that fine young man.

We need a bike path on 19 in homosassa. There is a lot of traffic and is a great danger to cyclists.
