Dirt jumps don't create themselves. if the local teenagers are willing to put in the effort and creativity to do this, they should be supported.

The positive impact of well maintained trails on the surrounding community and the lives of the riders that devote themselves to their construction and maintenance is a sadly persistent oversight of local municipalities. Good trails typically means good people, otherwise the trails won't last. Your community deserves the support of this healthy, constructive activity / sport / devotion. cheers.

Should never have been torn down. And whoever said it's only mud needs a slap. these guys put a lot of time and effort for the forestry guys to tear it down for the sake of 'saplings'. shit excuse, its not like dirt jumps are going to kill the entire area now is it.

They do this to us in edinburgh as well as if they have nothing better to spen the money on. Rather payin to ruin stuff to keep kids of the streets.

So the Forestry Commission will allow some sites to have trails, built with money provided by the FC, but will not allow young people to build their own trails in others, creating a community and cultivating a good work ethic in these folks.. Very two faced if you ask me! I feel for you guys, having all that hard work destroyed overnight must feel shit, when you get this all sorted I'll be sure to come visit for some shredding. Keep fighting!

I'm from Canada, but I still know that feeling of having jumps and trails torn down. I'm from a smaller town too, and I know it really sucks, especially when there is no where else to build or ride! People don't understand that this is good for us, keeps us busy. Good luck getting that area back for riding!

I can vouch for how these lads feel about having their hard work destroyed having spent eight years digging a trail only to have the local council destroy without any chance to explain or discuss. They're being productive and have a healthy hobby, why discourage this?

i dont understand what the council are trying accomplish, they dont want kids hanging around doing nothing but they dont want them doing something constructive either, months of hard work ruined, they should be ashamed!!! i really do you hope you get this sorted guys, you deserve it!!! good luck!!!!

Give that community somewhere to ride. Take a leaf out of the book of the forestry commission who work with the riders down at grogley, ruthernbridge.
