i know your pain all too well every single jump spot or riding location for twenty miles of my home gets wrecked by land owners/dog walkers/ horse riders! its like mountain bikers are naughty little kids and should have their toys taken away by anyone for any reason!

Can hardly think of a more fun, healthy and fun activity for the young 'uns to be involved in. You'd think those making the decisions never ventured out as children.

From what I understand, it's the Trustees of Savernake Estates who are telling the FC to bulldoze the jumps. The FC are under instruction. If the FC had ultimate jurisdiction, I think they would be open to negotiation. It's the Savernake Trustees that need to understand the consequences of their joyless dour decision-making. There are ways to overcome the possibility of litigation, which should be investigated. A blanket ban such as that which they have imposed makes no sense.

the woods have given me purpose, creativity and inspiration, an outlet and escape for many years. it is saddening to have somebody take that away. trails are a passion greater than most, for the craftsmen of the earth spend thousands of hours all through winter and summer to create their safe haven and escape. good luck guys

The woods should be enjoyed by all, as long as no litter is left and no trees are cut down I don't see what the problem is! Good to keep the youth doing something constructive with their time!

Building trails is an art, getting to ride your own creations is the best feeling in the world and nobody should stop that! let the boys build!

I appreciate that not everybody wants this kind of thing in their back garden but I can't hurt to give it a try. Any jump spots I've been too are well looked after by the local riders not really anything in the way of litter etc. Make a deal with them, if it looks like a tip the riding space will be closed.

Would they rather these lads play Xbox all day? One small patch of land for jumps is far less damage than deforestation for housing. It's only mud.

These kids are an inspiration & benefit so much from being in nature. They are the next generation who will be inspired by their time spent in the forest to preserve it in the future. Unlike the kids who spend most of their time on computers & believe nature is irrelevant! Let them continue the forest needs them in the future!

This is a great cause, and I hope that the trail does get rebuilt. You're doing a great job.

What better way to keep people out of trouble than to keep them in the woods. The place they love.
