Dear Mr. Wardynski and Huntsville School Board, We, the undersigned, would like to request that careful and due consideration of a new Huntsville City school be built on the Eastern side of Monte Sano, in either Hampton Cove, Big Cove or Owens Cross Roads.Over 800 students a day make the trek over Monte Sano from the Hampton Cove/Big Cove area to Huntsville High School. This number will only grow as these areas are rapidly developing with family homes. We would like to see the consideration of a new high school in this area be placed on a future school board agenda in the next 6-12 months, with honest diligence being put forth in looking at real options (feeder schools from the West side of the mountain, costs, safety of all students, population, property, etc.) Thank you for your time.
