Drivers just dont get it half the time. We need clear signs that tell them we belong on the road too. hope this happens soon.

This sign will help alert motorists to the fact that bicyclists use the roadway. It increases awareness. At the same time, a sign like this will educate motorists that cyclists have the right to use the travel lane. Both increase safety. This type of sign that is both education and a warning is used in other states. We should follow their lead. Another tool in the box to help motorists and cyclists share the road.

Where safety is concerned, this is the next best thing to "Bicycles May Use Full Lane" and we ask DelDOT to develop this sign and use it going forward to replace the standard warning sign.
