Bible Study Not Simple Enough?

Is the CGLC staff ashamed of our Lutheran heritage? I was upset last year when they removed 'Lutheran' from our church name. Also, I was wondering why the 9:30 am Traditional service was less and less attended. After reading everyone's responses, I understand why. And a lot of the members who I have talked to, miss the Sunday bulletin. It keeps us informed of what is taking place each week among other things. Bring it back!

Conducting church business should be a simple thing. Making processes more difficult should not be part of our mission as ambassadors for Christ.

We should not cause anything that would interfere with our members spiritual growth without thinking clearly about how the changes would affect the outcome.

I'm signing this in support of reviewing the number of signatures needed to add an agenda item or call a special meeting. It should be reevaluated given current in person worship attendance numbers. It sounds like the use of the Journey Center has already been resolved.

I support revisting the requirements to putitems on the agenda especially given the changes in attendance and multi campus

I think the adult bible study room issue has been resolved. I do think the current by laws is okay based on the size of our church, but open for discussion.

I support this effort to bring the 9 AM BS back to the Journey Center! There is no better place to meet visitors and invite them to join us in BS. I agree there have been far to many decisions made without input from the congregation (logo change, removal of the cross and removal of the word Lutheran from our literature. We can welcome others into our midst and still keep this information of our heritage.

I too agree to the current apparent misuse of JC space on Sunday mornings. The 9:00am Bible Study has always been a very important part of the "journey" in God's Word. Somehow fellowship (which has it's place) seems to be at the top of the list of importance. This seems amiss to me, as does the non-communication with the congregation members to explain why fellowship takes precedent.

I support this issue, as the classroom is not comfortable for the seniors attending this 9:00 AM class. When we leave Bible Class, I do not see people using the room. I am also concerned that changes are made without input by those impacted. I never thought I would see the ones in charge at our church delete the name "Lutheran" from our buildings & name. Power is being misused in my opinion.

Christ Greenfield is slowly walking away from the needs of senior members of the congregation. Any church needs to grow to survive, just don't forget where you came from. It's about respect. Still think it was a mistake to remove the cross from our logo and the word Lutheran from our name. My opinion.
