We, the undersigned, are parents of current grade 5 and younger students at Bialik Hebrew Day School who are opposed to the institution of student laptops as mandatory for all senior division students beginning in fall 2012.

We believe that the manner in which this proposal was put forth and concluded was not open and are of the position that until a proper forum is convened for the school administration to present its case to the parents, for parents to voice their concerns and opinions, and for proper and thorough debate to take place, that the implementation of this proposal be postponed.
We further wish to make it known that we will not be buying laptops nor paying the increased tuition for next year until a thorough study and debate of the matter takes place to our satisfaction.
