The current bathroom pass policy allows teachers to offer extra-credit for turning in unused bathroom passes at the end of a grading period. While this policy does benefit some, there exists undeniable sex inequality in regards to the regulation. It is much easier for males to comply with the bathroom pass rules than it is for females, due to biological differences that neither sex should be held accountable for and no one should be penalized (or rewarded) for. We propose that the bathroom pass policy be adjusted such that there is no limit to how many times a student can use the bathroom during the school year and extra credit will not be offered for bathroom passes. By signing this petition, you agree that actions should be taken to change the bathroom pass policy, and also agree not to abuse the privilege of having unlimited restroom freedom.
