I would love to see full time learning but I also wish we would address later start times for high school students. The switch from a 9:00 virtual start to the 7:25 hybrid start time has dramatically highlighted how much better our high school students would do with later start times.

Our children need to be back IN school IN PERSON for learning and their mental health. Sitting home all day learning from their room is not a good way to learn and it’s depressing A complete disservice to them!

We were promised a choice after Pat Watson did a great job getting a plan to reopen approved by the state. 4 people shut us down. Shame shame.

We built a house in this district based on what we understood to be the quality of the public school education.
I am struggling to take care of a terminally ill spouse, keep my own full time job (and I owe attention to my team just like teachers to their students), and try to make sure my kids are getting their work done, their tech questions answered, on time for each call - all at the same time. I DO NOT view school as babysitting. It’s an environment for kids to be independent from their parents and home, learn valuable social and executive level skills, and in my case get away from what is happening at home for a few hours a day and focus on being kids and teens. I’m sure like many others I don’t have family close by that can step in. I know teachers have families too. But I can’t say that this much distance learning is for everyone, and my 6th grader is starting to make statements like “I’ll just be lonely forever, it’s OK.” No - that’s not OK. Not everyone can survive with online relationships, and not all the kids have them. School allows for interaction we just can’t get any other way.

I would like F2F to be full time, as I think kids (and teachers) are struggling maintaining any consistency and balance in their days in this situation. I think virtual is working very well for those that chose that, now it’s time to focus on remote back to school to allow same amount of teaching/structure in remote as there are for the virtual academy students.

For entirely too many reasons that cannot be listed here, we need to give families a choice and allow students to return to school full-time. Every family's emotional, physical, spiritual, and overall well being depends on it.

Kids education is essential, they need in-person to prevent the regression they have and are experiencing. As a Healthcare provider, I know the "fears" of COVID-19. But the fears of ruining our future are worse at this age demographic.
