I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you agree that our local elections need to be more accessible. Your messages and stories about the current process have taught me so much about why this change is necessary for our city.

I am truly stunned by the momentum this is gaining. Seeing so many of you jump behind this idea reminds me that this was never about me, but about what we can achieve when we realize our schools deserve better.

BOUT TIME. Stop wasting our tax dollars on these separate elections.
150k is way too much to spend on a vote almost nobody shows up for. Move it to the general election already.
Taxpayers are tired of the waste. Fix this.
School board decisions affect us all yet nobody votes. Moving the date will finally let people have a say in our kids education.
I never even remember when the school board vote is because it happens at such a weird time. November makes so much more sense.

5% turnout is pathetic. Everyone is already at the polls in November anyway so just put it on the ballot.
