The Council’s objectives are to,
(a) Represent the interests of graduate students and communicate them to the university administration with the purpose of exploring ways to resolve them
(b) Organize an orientation programme for new graduate students
(c) Improve the student life of graduate students on campus by planning and organizing activities and events, which may not be limited to just social, recreational, sporting, cultural, educational, and career related purposes.
(d) Foster a strong and meaningful relationship between the graduate student population, and the undergraduate student population, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Hi. I would like to know CLEARLY what it is that the present club committee does (in bullet points) that is undesirable. I believe the such clubs exist to serve ALL and not just a group. Tell me, and I shall be happy to sign. If the elections are rigged, then I will oppose it. If the club committee does not take suggestions from the student population, then they shouldn't be a "student" club. But tell me what the problem is.

I attended the GSC elections last year to vote, and to my awe there was hardly anyone there to vote apart from the people of the committees, it felt a bit odd and my understanding of a democracy was jeopardized. There after, I won't use the word boycott but I distanced myself from almost all the activities of the Graduate Student club and not only the main GSC but also the GSC's at the school level, I felt my investment of time will be better useful for other purposes than involving myself in such committees.

About the Observers in my proposal they are chosen by the singles president candidates in order to defend the interest of the candidate they support.

we are adult we should be able to manage properly our representation, without asking to a professor to overlook us. We need to find proper rules to guarantee the democracy and trasparency.

Can't they find some professor at least asst. prof as observer for election?
Interview is just formality. All selection positions are already decided.
