Final supporters
Instagram has failed to accurately and genuinely care for their users by not helping correct hacked accounts. Their support page offers no help because 99% of the time a hacker changes all the information associated with the account. Reporting the account, emailing the support account, calling the number found online, or messaging Instagram does nothing to help the person whose information was stolen. Instagram simply does NOT care. Sign this petition to bring attention to the issue. Sign it for yourself or someone you know who is struggling with getting their profile back in their hands.

Seeing the growth of this petition shows me that the frustration I feel over these stolen accounts is shared by so many. It is exhausting to fight a company that refuses to listen but the weight of your support keeps me moving forward.

My account got hacked in September, but all the “help” I’ve had is bot emails with links back to the same unhelpful help center. Creating a new account after cultivating a history & a moderate follower base over the course of 6+ years is just not an option.
My account was hacked on 11/29/2018. Ive sent various messages to their so call "help" line with not response. I feel very violated and embarrassed that my friends are receiving messages from someone impersonating me and asking my friends for gift cards.
Instagram won’t help me and my girlfriend reset our password after we gave them PROOF that my girlfriends cousin hacked our account. We even sent screenshots of her admitting to hacking our account but Instagram still does nothing.
If your account has been hacked you should be able to prove it's your account through other ways than the original email or phone number you used to sign up for the account. Especially if that was years ago and you no longer remember or have access to that information.
Years of my 4 children's pictures have been stolen and being shared by whatever sicko stole it. INSTAGRAM WONT EVEN RESPOND AFTER TO 2 WEEKS OF CONTACTONG THEM. Other moms need to know that this his happening and Instagram can care less.
Instagram help center is useless
They should have a form or a live support option since their help center is circular logic and unmanned.

Instagram in no way helped me. I love how they throw you a bone and you feel relief you'll get your account back. You follow their link and then nope doesn't work. Celebrities can get their accounts back but I can not...why am I less important?? Beyond frustrated.
