Dear Mayor Martinez Ferrada

We are writing to ask the city of Montreal to improve and expand the services of the STM in all areas of montreal like kirkland, ile perrot and many more. Climate change is an urgent problem in the world right now, and public transportation plays a big role in reducing carbon emissions. In many areas of Montreal, buses either are over crowded or arrive infrequently either too early causing you to miss the bus or late causing you to be late. Because of this many residents choose to drive or buy a car to avoid this issue. According to Mignacca, many people living off island have very limited options to get onto the island of Montreal via public transportation, with there being only some express buses on weekdays during rush hours, and very limited trains. So I ask the city of Montreal to work with the stm to add more bus routes and increase the number of buses, especially during peak hours and in neighbourhoods with very limited transit access.

So by expanding public transportation, Montreal can help reduce traffic, lower emissions and make the STM more reliable. So we strongly encourage the city to invest more into the STM all around montreal

Sincerely, Tiago Branco and Aidan Chapman
