Tired of your electricity bill being way too high due to old and inadequate insulation in the attics and seals around windows and doors. Even with the AC set above 80 in our small homes the air coditioner runs way to often due to the lack of maintance on these units. By law in Riverside county or ZONE 3 of the Climate map since 2005 the minimum required is a rating of r-30 which our units may have had 15 years ago but do to the type of isulation we have in our attics, which is the blow in type it settles over years and compresses resulting in the loss of isulation properties it provides. The lack of care by current or past landlords to do anything about it is coming at a cost to us the renters who at times can barely make rent let alone a $250+ electricity bill. This needs to be changed.

I have started this petetion in hopes that with enough signitures and given to the right people that this will make a difference & next year we will be better insulated and our bills will be lower.
