Better Economic Stimulus Options For Self-Employed Individuals

I am a self employed massage therapist for 20 years and i am forbidden to work by order of the governor of Colorado. I have kids and office rent in addition to the regular expenses of life. We need unemployment benefits.

As a sole proprietor of my massage business I am truly affected by the Coronavirus, I had to close my business 3/16 and at this time now sure when I will be back to work.

There are probably millions of us in outside sales that are 1099 independent contractors. Our livelihoods have come to a halt. One time payment of 1200 is not going to help us get through these months of unemployement. Please help the self employed the 1099 folk who pay taxes, etc. by allowing us to apply for unemployment insurance or some kind of compensation for the time we have been out of work.

I am self employed residential cleaning, I am a widowed mother and have been for raising my child on my own for the past 12 years. The past few years he had some difficulties at school which in return made me miss work to pick him upevery other day. Well his issue is after his father was murdered and myself shot by my heart on his first birthday, I was alone, I was injured, I couldn't work, I couldn't hold my child even for a long time due to my injuries. I had to move due to not wanting to return to the same building. I fell upon hardship from the start, but as soon as I was able to begin working again I worked as much as possible despite my depression and the age and need of my child, he needed a home, food, clothes, I did everything I could to provide for him which left him being raised by the babysitter and the daycare. I even put myself through college to start a good job for less than I ended at the convenience store I was working at so I continued cleaning homes as I did through college to supplement my new medical profession, now working even more than I was before 70-80 hours per week and now paying for additional daycare which took my entire paycheck after health insurance and taxes were taken out and I paid for my gas to drive 30 minutes to work. Then missing work with my child misbehaving because his mother was too busy working to be able to teach him social skills or anything anymore, then getting kicked out of school and sent to a special school without transportation to a different town 45min from our home, I lost my job. I needed something more flexible so I did what I knew how to do...I already had quite a few houses I cleaned and my ladies had a lot of friends that wanted me to clean for them to so I became self employed to accommodate as any mother would do to take care of her child and their needs. But now I had already filed for bankruptcy on the home that I had bought on my own so we had a stable place to come home to because I dated the wrong

I have been self employed for the last 3 years. I have filed taxes for the last three years has self-employed. This is how I support my family and yes I see nothing from the government looking to help those of us who are self-employed.
