I own a men’s clothing store primarily selling suits/jackets and trousers Made in Italy. On March 1st I moved into a new location and it seems that I/we are being locked out of any economic stimulus package. We (self-employed) are the engine that runs the business in the US. Please don’t forget about us!

Full time transcription for colleges and filmmakers, radio & TV, which has all but dried up and few are responding to requests for payment; not eligible for unemployment and this is getting ugly fast. Please Help. We pay our taxes and double Social Security -- should be included in help.

Here in Vermont there is a low population and not much for jobs to make life affordable here. I have been selling off a lot personal belongings to pay bills. We the self employed are as hard working if not more than the employed person. We have to deal with more risks financially and also with the unknown . We pay taxes like others that are employed. We need a working Congress not just a bunch of whining overpaid individuals. To those in congress get off your hands and do what you were placed in office for . Wake up!

My self employment is the only income in our household, so my husband and I are extremely worried how we will survive since my revenue has basically all but disappeared in the last several weeks.

I was a stay at home mom with 2 little children at home in 2018 and 2019 and just got a job a few months ago. And I will need help just as much as anyone else but it seems that I won't have it. I think that the president needs to help everyone who is effected by this pandemic. We are all suffering especially those with children.

I’m a speaker whose business depends on live events. I’ve run a profitable business as an independent contractor for 25 years serving hundreds of clients and literally overnight my business has come to a full stop yet I’m not eligible for any support that exists or is now being discussed in Congress. We need help more critically than large corporations because the impact of sudden business loss is immediate.

Leaving out ppl with disabilities, veterans, social security will harm the economy even worse cause we spend money as well and if we have more to spend then we will be putting more into the economy as well.

It's imperative that the bill includes the gig worker. Airline companies have collateral it's called airplanes. Your average gig worker does not have collateral! Our chances of recovery without how are slim to none. I understand the economy revolves around 750000 workers. But there's more gig workers than 750,000 workers. They get unemployment benefits, we don't the time is now!

I am a licensed esthetician & spa owner. I am the only person in my company and due to the close personal nature of the skincare services I offer responsibly closed my doors March 17,2020. While this is a week before our Louisiana Governor Edwards closes down our service industry, again it was in an effort to not potentially spread the virus. Businesses like mine need help! We will come back but in the meantime we still have expenses. Please be our champion!

I have been self-employed my entire life in construction. I am 65. My retirement consists of two old duplexes and $840 a month in social security. The money I would have used build up a retirement fund, have a larger social security check, and not have a mortgage was used to pay medical bills for my family. Getting medical insurance before the ACA for a family with pre-existing conditions could be financially devastating. I will continue working until my late 70s early 80s, my father did. Many of the government programs have not been for the benefit for the self-employed or gig workers. Until the ACA this was especially true for medical insurance. Please keep this in mind when you're passing the stimulus packages.

I'm a self-employed graphic and web designer, and I primarily work with small businesses. Business is screeching to a halt, as no one wants to spend money on their website in this economic climate.
