Live within 30km of Brisbane City and yet no ADSL avail - have to pay $174 per month for 25GB data - same as options avail to remote rural areas! Absolutely ridiculous!

I couldn't believe it when my internet provider told me I can't get ADSL here! I'm about to go to uni. How am I supposed to study. I'm from Adelaide and I just cannot believe that a suburb of brisbane can be so outdated in terms of its technology.

We also live in Chuwar and cannot even get a basic ADSL connection, as we have a 'split line' due to the distance (8km) from the Ipswich exchange. A new development near us has NBN, according to the rollout map. Can't understand why it cannot be extended to the surrounding areas. There seems to be no logic to the rollout. I thought it was going to be provided to the people with no connection first, but now it is going to areas which already have an adequate service, just because they are more densely populated- ie, to more voters!

Chuwar ADSL is as slow as dialup. They say it is caused by congestion. I would say poor exchange equipment

We are a suburb of Brisbane and deserve what all other suburbs can get internet wise.
