Please sign our petition to not have a two-story, 60 bed Juvinile drug rehabilitation facility be built on 3485 Linden St. Rehab centers have their place in the city,but the proposed location for this facility is not appropriate since it would be: Surrounded by homes with children and elderly. This is not a safe enviorment. I would not feel comfortable letting my young girls outside to play with drug addicted teens watching them from their 2nd story building. This location is within .2 miles of the high school and middle school, also .5 miles of 2 elementery schools. Plus a couple of preschools. The Surrounding homes are priced $600,000. - $800,000. This will greatly depreciate these homes in the area. Some of these home owners have lived in their homes for 20 + years, this is hardly fare for these tax paying folks to be subjected to this kind of encroachment. Please sign this petition if you agree that the proposed location is inappropriate, and the zoning change should not be approved. Thank You
