UPDATE:
It's happening! I have a feeling our petition helped :) Thank you to everyone who signed and shared!
http://www.spin.com/2016/01/vampire-weekend-foster...Make sure to follow our new Twitter @bernie_fest!
This is a petition asking any and all bands who support Bernie Sanders (like Foster the People and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.) to consider throwing a music festival to benefit Bernie's campaign and spread interest! It would benefit everyone involved: the bands would get renewed recognition, Bernie would get further recognition as well as more funds for his campaign, and all of us would get to enjoy great music by our favorite bands for our favorite presidential candidate.
********Don't forget to share after signing to help spread interest and tag it #BernieFest ESPECIALLY on Twitter! Sharing is just as important as signing so that this goes viral!*********
You can also share this on your favorite bands' pages so that they see it :)

Progressive psych rockers Ruckzuck would love to add the soundtrack to the political revolution ! Already planning a few small benefits for Bernie shows on our next tour. Music on Ruckzuckband.com thanks!
And I would be happy to perform (Industrial multimedia band Abstinence would be the best band that I am in for this at this time) or assist in organization. See http://www.s6k.com/abstinence
As musicians, the role you play in society is predominantly to entertain, but inadvertently you all are hugely influential. This is a chance to stand up for something you care about and do something amazing with the huge influence you have on society.
music has the ability to bring us all together, changes the dynamics. Let's do this for Bernie. We can change the world one song at a time. No Superpacs required:)
I suggest Dave Matthews Band. They have a huge fan base, they are always doing charity festivals (live aid, farmaid), and Dave Matthews has already said that he likes what Bernie is saying.
Fantastic!
All for Berniefest!!!! Wish we could have one in every state!

I'm all for this as long as the proceeds keep the bands fed and housed for the tour and the rest goes to the sanders campaign. Please come through Missouri!
