Medium Security leads to Minimum Security, according to the Corrections Service Canada website. There are so many reasons why this is unacceptable. There is no room for compassion for Bernardo that releases the boundaries rightly placed against him. Not now, not ever.

This monster has no business with any more human rights than necessary for what he did. He destroyed the fabric of Ontarian communities, ripped apart families and smiled about it. He is not human. He is a demon that deserves nothing more than what he has already been given; and that is by far too much. My heart breaks for the French and Mahaffey families, and everyone's life he has negatively impacted in the wake of the horrific crimes he committed. It's bad enough that his ex is free to live a life outside of incarceration with a husband and children. Pathetic justice after what they did to her own sister. These 2 changes the face of demons to all Canadians. And that is no testament to them. It is a testament to the fact that we as Canadians will not tolerate these types of criminals to grow or thrive or 'prove themselves' in the eyes of justice. They have no place in our society. They took away the human rights and lives of beautiful young women. As a result, they-HE has no right to rights until the day he expires and leaves our country a better place without the stain of his disgusting existence.

Corrections Canada is launching a 'review' of their decision. Forget the review, send him back to MAXIMUM security and as others have said let him 'rot in hell' for his heinous crimes.
