I work at the learning center which is berklee's main student printing source and the fact that there are no other resources for printing besides the printers we have means that our printers break with far too much frequency. Also we often have long waitlists full of people who need to use the learning center stations for things other than printing and must wait for the many people who have no where else to print their assignments.

Berklee really needs its own print center. I realize the administocracy likes to pretend that the Composition major doesn't exist, but it does. By some miracle, the efficiency of Berklee's printing system has actually gone down this semester (as though that were possible), and all of the instability in Berklee's network has rendered library wireless printing a mere fantasy.

If a university holds courses that require their students to deliver their work in hard copies, it is only justified that the college then gives the students efficient means by which to do so--especially an institution which is based upon reading and writing scrit in order to produce art.

Campus-wide printing is a must for a college of this size. A printer center in every major Berklee building (150/142/136, 160, 1140, 1108, 22, 921/939, and 7) can't be that hard to install.

If it takes longer to print than it does to compose 32 bars, that's a problem. We need enough printers to service the number of students that are paying to attend Berklee.
