Slack is the primary method for MIDS students to collaborate. Free Slack has a limit of 10,000 messages which is reached sometimes within hours. It would cost $1500/yr to upgrade to unlimited messages, which is less than $1/student/month.

I have said from the beginning one of the best parts of being in a school program is the casual "hallway" conversations you have with peers before the class starts, or while studying. Slack have given us this hallway. Prior to Slack, in W201, we were mixed up every week for group projects. That was the only way of knowing each other. Today, I know about many of my MIDS peers, even if I have never shared a class with them.
