This year even more was changed for the Bendigo Easter Festival, some was good and some was not so good.

One change that the community did not warm to was, moving the street carnival to the Tom Flood Sports center around 2 years ago. Since the move, less people are going to the carnival and even less rides are even bothering to come to Bendigo because they are losing money.

From most reports from around the town, the rides at the tom flood sports center are not working and will be only a memory in a few years time if they are not brought back to the Bendigo CBD in 2012

The Bendigo Council needs to listen to its community and buy signing this petition we will be able to show in writing how strongly the community feels about the street carnival and how much we want it back in the CBD.

It was so much easier when it was in town. We could walk around and grab lunch after. Now we just dont bother going.

bring it back to the street where it belongs. tom flood is too out of the way for everyone and the vibe is completely dead.

The atmosphere is just gone since they moved it. Used to be the highlight of the year but now it feels like a ghost town.

THE CBD IS THE ONLY PLACE FOR IT! Council needs to wake up and see that no one goes to the sports center.

Why fix what wasnt broken? My kids keep asking why we arent going this year. So sad to see a good tradition ruined.
