The Bendigo Livestock Exchange must provide shelter to all animals in its care

This is disgusting. We are not a 3rd world country. We should respect all living things.

we dont do this to humans so why do it to animals.. they are just as sentient as us!

End all cruelty to animals

We, the undersigned, call on the council of the City of Greater Bendigo to recognize and acknowledge Agriculture Victoria's Sheep Shelter guidelines and abide by the recommendation that specifies the necessity for shelter during all weather conditions. We request that council engage an independent auditor to complete a compliance assessment report for the Bendigo Livestock Exchange. This report should focus on animal welfare concerns, workplace health and safety (WHS) and environmental impacts caused by the facility. Council should raise the animal welfare standard at the Bendigo Livestock Exchange to, at a minimum, match the other major Victorian Livestock Exchanges. Adequate shelter should be constructed to protect the animals from the extremes of the Victorian weather.

All animals deserve shelter from the elements. It is a right! I cry every time I drive past paddocks with poor animals sweltering and cooking in the heat, desperately seeking reprieve. It is inhumane and horrific to put animals through such gross suffering. Shelter should be mandatory for all animals. Its the least we can do for them.

How can humans be so cruel? Revolting!

Stop the blatant abuse of sentient beings

Having sheep out in the hot summer sun and overcrowded is cruel and inhuman. Provide proper sheds , space and water.
