I'm gobsmacked that in the hundreds of years and sales that the use of shelter has not been a consideration. Seriously the lack of consideration for the comfort of animals is beyond me.

It's simply not acceptable for us as intelligent beings, to allow the suffering of animals. We have a responsibility to this world of working towards a cooperative existence. This includes a system which protects and defends all animals from suffering and cruelty. It is unacceptable that animals are forced to suffer pain and death from cruelty which we as human beings have the power and knowledge to prevent. There is no excuse for such abhorrent neglect, it is completely inhumane.

All animals should be provided with shelter to provide protection from the elements. Farm animals are no different from domestic animals and should not be treated as a commodity only.

If these animals MUST be taken to market please show some compassion. These amazing, feeling beings need to be shown some respite and caring after the trauma they have incurred from being carted from who knows where in terrible conditions!

Australia is big enough and has enough trees to not require animals to suffer like this. Make it stop.

Tired of seeing unnecessary cruelty and disregard for animal welfare just to make a profit from their suffering. It needs to be called out and ended.

Bad enough they suffer in huge trucks with no water or shelter from weather, but then to keep them like this when they reach their destination is unconscionable and cruel.
