The Bendigo Livestock Exchange must provide shelter to all animals in its care

I beg you to act with compassion and human decency, and urgently improve conditions at the saleyards—including installing extensive shade and by ensuring all animals have free access to cool water, and that they receive medical care if required. The current state of the saleyards is utterly inhumane and shameful. These animals will already suffer an appalling and early death, we have no excuse for torturing them in the meantime. Please do the right thing, I beg you.

I want you to force the operators of this Livestock Exchange yard to provide immediately enough shade for all the animal. This is CRUEL and needs to be stopped at once.

They are living creatures under our control- they should be treated properly.

Please take these animals welfare into consideration. Unnecessary suffering and exposure to extreme conditions is not acceptable.

Animals need shelter as much as any other living creature.

Animals deserve to be given appropriate shelter from the elements, especially as our climate is undoubtedly becoming more severe.

The cruelty animals are exposed to seems to have no end in sight; and we call ourselves evolved. The fact that this petition is needed says otherwise. So sad. We ONLY benefit from treating animals with kindness.

Got to wonder why we even have to sign a petition to get shade. Common sense would tell you that animals need shade. It is one of the most basic things.

Shelter, water and decency should be provided to all living things. Appalling that such animal cruelty is allowed to continue and is not a criminal offence. Laws need to be changed. Shame on all those involved, including the Bendigo council

Animals are more than just a commodity, they do feel heat and cold. Ever passed an empty paddock where cattle are congregated under a stick of a tree? Please give these animals some dignity and provide shelter while still alive.

Only monsters would do this to innocent animals. This company should be shamed out of existence!

How in this day and age, and with the temperatures we reach in this country, is an area designed to hold living beings considered to be fit for use with NO shelter? Appalling.

Shelter from the sun (& rain) must be provided.
