Surely this should be a mandatory requirement!

It’s appalling that any livestock be kept for any time without READY access to water and shade. This fundamental welfare requirement should have to be met for the sale to go ahead

Smarten up. Show some Humanity and compassion. Animals are sentient beings.

All animals require access to shade. It’s a basic right for animals to be protected from the elements if confined in yards without other forms of shade

Why is considered ok to treat these animals so dreadfully. They have feelings, they feel heat, cold, pain. You make money from them, at least give them shelter, or if you don’t think they need it, put yourself in the yards. Why are we so cruel.

It’s animal cruelty not to provide shade against the weather elements, I’m asking please give the sheep the shade the need, it’s heartbreaking when money is more important than human compassion

This is an animal welfare issue. On Australia Day we promote the eating of lamb but what this situation promotes is that we are a cruel country happy to allow animals to suffer. Its disgraceful. If I left my dog in 40 degrees with no water for 24-48 hours , Id be charged. Go vegan and stop this shocking exploitation, profiting at the expense of animals.

It is shocking cruelty not to provide the basics of life to these poor animals.

These sales need to end, these temps are too high for these poor animals, the human traders have the choice to not be there, the poor sheep do not! Stop the terrible cruelty that exists, stop eating lamb! Animals are not ours to sell, exploit and torture, when you realise this you will be appalled at the conditions all animals ate kept in. We need better animals rights! What is right for a dog should be right for a sheep, pig, cow or chook. Change your perception of animals. They all deserve protection!

Please provide these sentient beings with shade. I don't understand how this has been allowed to go on for so long, it is so cruel.

Humane treatment of farm animals benefits the animals, the producers and the consumers.

100 bloody years of profits for farmers and council from sheep sales. Build the shelters now and start charging a small levy to the profit making sellers..It's not rocket science !
