I urge the City of Bendigo to provide shelter for livestock. They deserve to be treated humanly from the harsh weather whether it be extreme sun, rain, hail. They also deserve water as a bare minimum in the extreme heat. Surely it's the least you can do by providing these poor sentient beings who will be sold for food. If the roles were reversed, you would hope someone would show the same kindness.

Animal cruelty is not on. You are doing the industry a disservice as more and more informed consumers are boycotting meat.

If there is no proper facilities then they should not be allowed to have the sale. Use a facility that has adhered to recommendations for the welfare of all.

This is absolutely disgraceful. I am sick and tired of the way animals get treated, especially in a country that likes to think it’s better than everyone else.

This is horrible. The fact we continue to use and abuse animals is disgusting, the least you can do is look after their welfare. It’s too hot and this should be cancelled.

Stop the greed!! animals are living on this earth with us and deserve respect. Torturing farm animals and going home and cuddling your dog at night is twisted.

We request that council engage an independent auditor to complete a compliance assessment report for the Bendigo Livestock Exchange. This report should focus on animal welfare concerns, workplace health and safety (WHS) and environmental impacts caused by this facility.
