The Bendigo Livestock Exchange must provide shelter to all animals in its care

Please, in the true name of humanity.

I am shocked to see these animals being treated like this! It’s cruel and inexcusable!There needs to be action taken against this practice.

I just can not believe how again and again we see, hear and read of fresh and ongoing animal abuse all over the world but worse still in our own country. And the consequences for such disgusting and cruel treatments really are unacceptable for any responsible human being. However the people who make the rules and laws don't seem to care as long as it fills their own pocket with plenty of money. We live in a modern world which I think has no place for such behaviors of this kind. Practices that severely impact on the welfare of animals must stop and stop for ever. Personally I judge humans by the way they treat animals.

Unacceptable in the 21st century

Just because animals are destined to be slaughtered, does not mean that they should not be treated humanely. Give them the basic shelter that protects them from the weather.

This needs to be addressed NOW!

Why is this barbaric industry allowed to get away with such abject cruelty?

Please give these sheep some relief.

All animals deserve the basic care - food, water, shelter and safety. Farmed animals are not an exception. Stop the needless suffering for the sake of dollars.

The inaction of the Bendigo Saleyards shows an utter disregard for the sheep in their care, Yes, their care. Not good enough.

Animals should be treated with care and respect at all times. No excuse in Australia for this.

Please provide shade for these sensitive sheep and show that we are a compassionate country with animal welfare standards. Yours sincerely, Vivien Achia

These animals are suffering! Shelter should be mandatory!

Shade is a basic need for all animals.

I challenge the people who run the stockyards to put on a lambskin coat and join the sheep in the pen, for however long they are there.

Please show compassion for these animals - they have a heart beating and feel discomfort as you do...
