Four years after Ben Verwaayen became CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, he has clearly failed miserably in fulfilling his goal of making the company a "normal" company within 3 years. The company continues to burn cash at an alarming rate and one analyst has given the stock a price target of zero, which is virtually unheard of. Analysts have offered advice on how to increase shareholder value, and Ben Verwaayen continues to ignore it. Technologies have not lived up to the hype, and efforts to monetize the patent portfolio have fallen flat, despite promises of significant revenue and improving profit margins. The stock was trading around $6 when Ben Verwaayen became CEO and is now trading near its all time low of $0.99. It is time for Ben Verwaayen to tender his resignation, and give someone who cares about increasing shareholder value a chance to turn this company around, before it's too late.

The stock price is an absolute joke. How much longer are we going to let him run the business into the ground? Time for new leadership.

Total disaster. Lost so much money on this stock thanks to his empty promises. Needs to go now.
