With the recent influx of new students attending Belmont University, the lack of on campus parking has gotten completely out of control. Something must be done to change this problem, because the current commuting students (as well as some of the faculty, surely) are wasting time and money every day while searching for parking spots on campus. We, the students of Belmont University, request that the powers that be at Belmont University make the following changes in order to provide adequate parking on campus for its students: 1. Freshman cannot have cars unless they live off campus. 2. Non-commuter students cannot park anywhere but in designated lots by their dorm buildings (i.e. Hillside residents can only park in Hillside, Bruin Hills in Bruin Hills parking, etc...). This rule is already in place, but it should not be removed in the event that Freshman car privileges are revoked. We believe that these simple changes will drastically alter the parking issue on campus, making for a more efficient environment in which the students can learn.
