I visited there in July, by vehicle for the music festival. It wasnt what I expected, but what an awesome wilderness area. I would like to visit again by ferry, so please change this ruling.

Years back, when the ferry service was cancelled, it was devastating. After it was restored it opened up the coast again and provided new avenues of tourism, commerce and development. To see it shut down again would be tragic.

Stop subsidizing inner Gulf Island ferry routes so critical services like Route 40 are not sacrificed.

Please retain this service as Bella Coola is a beautiful place and needs this service for overseas tourists like me!
I suspect that compared with the overall costs of the BC Ferries, the costs to run this important community service is negliglble.. Also, tourism is becoming more important and this is an essential tourism link, especially for the "green" adventure tourism industries..

This ferry route is a vital infrastructure for the BC coast, eco-tourism, green economy. As such, it must not be expected to make money on its own. I predict a huge drop in German tourists who would otherwise come and drive the loop via Bella Coola. Short sighted - the government must step in/up!

We all need this ferry to remain open and running, it is vital for the communities and businesses along the Chilcotin Coast. Without it, this region will loose all it's forward moving in tourism in the past few years.... This would be really detrimental to us all.

The rates should be lowered and have more people on board!! They did it for the 108 golf course and it worked iin a big way.

This will severely affect both the coatal communities but also all the businesses along the Chilcotin Road as far as Williams Lake. PLEASE reverse this decision in time for the spring thaw.

Once again the North suffers cuts to pay for transportation infrastructure in metro Vancouer. There is a BC beyond Hope!! Please restore route 40.
