Petition Against Proposed Changes to Belle Meade Boulevard

Preserve the beauty and history of the boulevard.

Adding pedestrian safety crosswalks and other features would increase the volume of pedestrians?! THAT'S THE POINT!

It would decrease greenspace, to allow humans to safely walk?!? Oh no, can't have that?

I’ve worked at the country club for 5 years now and one of the best parts everyday is driving up the beautiful charming historic boulevard. Some things in life just don’t need to change and are perfect the way they are.

I live in Brentwood, but travel the boulevard fairly often. I always enjoy it beauty especially the trees in between the four lanes. It seems to me that your commission is way out of line. I wish you the best in being successful at opposing this proposal.

Beautiful Belle Meade Blvd. Please back off turning into an urban metropolis multi use free for all like it’s downtown Nashville. Anyone who wants to find the jewel that is the Warner Parks will find it! Belle Meade Blvd is so beautiful the way it is! Enough “so called improvement” already. Leave it alone. Spend the money somewhere else where it’s really needed. And whatever you do don’t put those awful plastic rubber speed bumps anywhere anymore. Just put more stop signs.

I grew up here. Please don’t ruin the character of this unique road with a concrete, pedestrian walkway.

I have lived in the area for more than 20 years and have enjoyed the beautiful landscape of Belle Meade Boulevard and its pastoral ambience, especially with its proximity to Percy Warner Park. It’s also an important historical aspect of our city, which faces more and more challenges each year as more people move in. It would break my heart to see this precious green space torn up, beautiful trees removed, more traffic, and hazardous conditions for the pedestrians and neighborhood.
