Petition Against Proposed Changes to Belle Meade Boulevard

There are other and better options for walkers. Narrower lanes will increase the chance of hitting a pedestrian.

Please do not industrialize our neighborhood with the increased pavement, signage, reflectors and other detritus that will detract from the aesthetic of our community.

This increases danger to anyone on the Boulevard. It was not meant to be used like that-enjoy the beautiful park at the end of the Boulevard instead. Don’t ruin the medians.

We have a beautiful neighborhood and a beautiful park at the end of Belle Meade Boulevard with access to walking trails,

As a resident of BM I oppose

Reducing green grass area and increasing concrete surface area is not the solution here.

I feel strongly that this is not necessary. We are not aware of any significant problems with the current status.

I run on the Boulevard six days per week and have done so for forty years. This proposal is absolutely unnecessary. I live on the Boulevard and absolutely oppose compromising its beauty.

We have gone through this same push two other times, and the community has clearly expressed resoundingly not to add sidewalks to the Boulevard both times. We urge you to listen to our concerns and focus on adding sidewalks along the feeder streets to enhance connections among neighbors. By adding sidewalks to the Boulevard, you will attract VISITORS to our neighborhood. So we kindly ask you to stop bringing this up again.

Terrible idea. Cheapens the boulevard and we don’t need this open invitation to make an even more crowded situation that encourages this congestion.
