The Belize Barrier Reef is the second largest in the world and we cannot have a "Gulf" accident in any form. 2 million acres have been plotted out to American, Guatemalan and other countries, who do not have the vested interest to preserve our country but to exploit it for monetary gain. How will our government police 2 million acres? They cannot guarantee that a "Gulf Accident" will not happen, so this should not be done. Drilling anywhere near the barrier reef should be illegal. We are a tourism country and if the gulf were to happen, what would be the worst case scenario? Just imagine all that oil in our beautiful waters. Imagine all the coral, animals and Cayes....just imagine. We cannot let this Happen. No foreigner will ever cherish Belize like a true Belizean. We are abroad but Belize lives in all of us. We must make a statement and let Dean Barrow know that although we are not in Belize physically, Belize in in our hearts!! Save the Barrier Reef, Save Belize! No Offshore Drilling Dean Barrow!
