No one is should mistreat an animal. If you do have the resources to keep one then do not get one that you will eventually abandoned to it's own mercy. An animal depends on us for love and care. It is a crime to mistreat an animal.

We should have a law about animal cruelty. We need to speak for them because they cannot speak. Owners of animals should be charged for animal cruelty.

Government needs to do something about all the animals suffering, on the streets abandoned by its citizens. Do campaigns, do something

Stricter laws are so necessary for the amount of cruelty these poor animals suffer. It’s about time we unite and speak up for those without a voice. Let’s not only sign but let’s all volunteer to foster, clean up, donate etc.

Belize needs harsher penalties for those who mistreat these poor creatures.

I fully support this. It's always heartbreaking to see animals being neglected and mistreated by irresponsible people. Laws to protect them are desperately needed. They have feelings too and deserve care and respect.

Belize must do more to update and enforce animal cruelty laws. There is far too much suffering here.

Animal cruelty is illegal and should be treated as so. Everyone who hurts animals should be fined and/or do jail time!

It's been long overdue as our country doesn't seem to show any interest in caring for animal rights in Belize. They too have a soul & deserve to be treated with respect!

There needs to be stricter laws governing animals against abuse/abandonment. In the past people in Belize were required to pay an annual license fee in order to have a dog, unfortunately it didn't seem to stop careless people from having and eventually abusing or abandoning them.

much higher fines needed as well stronger enforcement
