I would really like to see some improvements in Belize when it comes to animal care. Especially with stray animals and just the wellness of the poor animal’s. We need to have people that will take care of these animals not just as pets but as friends and apart of the family.

I do believe our country need laws to protect animals because too many people are repeatedly getting animals and mistreating them, without any kinds of punishment.

People should be punished for keeping dogs on a short chain all year long. Teach kids to stop using sling shot on dogs. I picked up my dog from the street abused and eye damaged, she was thrown from a balcony by previous owner. People should be held accountable.

I support this act for the amendment for Belize Dogs Act Chapter 153 and The Belize Cruelty to Animals Act Chapter 115. We need to stop this suffering to these beautiful souls.

I fully support this initiative. I think we must all support any and all efforts to treat all animals with kindness and compassion. I believe wholeheartedly that cruelty to animals should be illegal and taken seriously by authorities.
